چکیده
The experimental and theoretical analysis of thermodynamical peculiarities heat flux at the fatigue crack tip during its propagation was made in presented work. goal is to elucidate relation between flow kinetic for different loading conditions. plane specimens with notch from stainless steel (AISI 304) were studied. There two types uniaxial one type biaxial loading. A dissipation measured by simultaneous use contact noncontact techniques. samples subject cyclic constant stress amplitude coefficients. functional dependence received experiment measurement analytical calculation. This depends on only material righty all fracture mode.

Effect of Mean Stress on Fatigue Crack Growth Behavior of Stainless Steel 304L
Stainless steel has been employed in many engineering applications ranging from pharmaceutical equipment to piping in the nuclear reactors and storage to chemical products. In this attempt, simulation of fatigue crack growth based on experimental results of austenitic stainless steel 304L was presented using AFGROW code when NASGRO mode laws adopted. Double through crack at hole specimen is use...
متن کاملStress Corrosion Crack Growth Mechanism on SUS316L Stainless Steel
The stress corrosion cracking (SCC) of stainless steel is one of the biggest problems for maintaining atomic power and chemical plants. However the mechanism has not been solved because of difficulty in observing hydrogen movement. In order to solve this problem, the author has developed a new SCC test method that enables the super Kelvin force microscope (SKFM) and the Kelvin force microscope ...
متن کاملAnalysis of Fatigue Crack Paths in Cold Drawn Pearlitic Steel
In this paper, a fracto-metallographic analysis was performed on the cracked specimens of cold drawn pearlitic steel subjected to fatigue tests. Fatigue cracks are transcollonial and exhibit a preference for fracturing pearlitic lamellae, with non-uniform crack opening displacement values, micro-discontinuities, branchings, bifurcations and frequent local deflections that create microstructural...
متن کاملFatigue Crack Detection and Sizing in Welded Steel Structures
The paper gives an outline of the non-destructive evaluation (NDE) methods currently being pursued at the Admiralty Marine Technology Establishment, Dunfermline, Scotland. The methods are being used to locate and characterise fatigue cracks in high yield strength welded steel structures. The techniques have been applied principally to large fatigue models (5' and 9' diameter) as part of a compr...
متن کاملPrinciple of Maximum Energy Dissipation Rate in Crack Dynamics
THE PRINCIPLE of maximum energy dissipation rate is introduced as an energy criterion for crack dynamics. That allows us to explain observed limiting crack speeds in brittle materials, and to complete the crack dynamics formulation. The upper limits of the crack speed in perfectly elastic and elastic-plastic bodies are obtained. It is found that the theoretical maximum crack speed in an isotrop...
